Have a ‘magical’ New Year in 2013 – best wishes from Paul, Chris and Border Collie ‘Mist’.

p.s. The above image was taken just before Christmas, on a walk in the Elen Valley in Powys, Mid-Wales – read all about it next week.  Off now to find the right magic spell to get me ‘missus’ back to full size – or perhaps I’ll leave her like that!

About Paul Shorrock

I've been mucking about in the mountains for longer than I care to mention. I started out by walking my local hills, then went on to rock climbing, mountaineering and skiing. Still doing it, and still getting a buzz. I'm now sharing the fun, through my guided walking business (Hillcraft Guided Walking) and by writing routes for other publishers, mainly Walking World and Discovery Walking Guides. Just to make sure I keep really busy, I am also currently a member of my local mountain rescue team.

Happy New Year! Where on earth do you get decent walking gear for someone that small??

    • Hahaha …. Well, Chris gets most of her gear from charity shops 🙂
She once made a point of aiming to get a Gore-tex jacket from a charity shop – I said that there wasn’t a hope in hell, as anything decent wouldn’t get as far as the clothes rail – she now has three perfectly servicable Gore-tex jackets, all from that source.
